Srinagar 24 March (KNB): As part of the world water day celebrations Higher Secondary School (HSS) Delina today held an impressive programme. The programme was entirely managed by Lecturer Physical Education Sameer Ahmad Lone.
An official communique said that Lone while inaugurated the event and welcoming the participants narrated some best urdu couplets. Students and staff members participated in the programme and shared their valuable thoughts with regard to conservation of water.
The discussions were moderated by Lecturer Qazi Syed Sajad. Others who spoke on the topic include Principal A R Ganai, Vice Principal Farooq Ahmad Shalla, Lecturer Sameer Ahmad Lone, Lecturer Sadaf Gazala and EVS teacher Nayeem Nagoo.
Among students who shared their valuable views include Yasir, Umar Ahmad, Nihar Qayoom, Mehvish, Seema, Ovaise and Idrees. Senior teacher A.R Bakshi administered “save the water pledge”
The programme concluded with a small rally of students and displaying thought provoking placards showing importance of water conservation. Mehvish, Seema and Nihar bagged Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions for their speeches respectively.
While the principal of the school in his speech appreciated and congratulated Lect Qazi Syed Sajad and Lect Sameer Ahmad Lone for successfully conducting the programme. (KNB)
