Weather to Remain Erratic in J&K till 13th Dec

Srinagar 5 December (KNB): Indian meteorological Department of J&K has predicted erratic weather in J&K till 13th December.

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau, IMD said that weather is likely to remain mainly dry till 6th evening and as expected earlier there’s less than 90% chances of moderate snowfall with isolated heavy fall during 7-8th Decemeber on higher reaches of JK n Ladakh like Gulmarg, Zojila, Banihal-Ramban Top etc.

Officials stated that this system is likely to bring more snowfall on Northern parts of Valley, Drass Sonmarg axis.

“Meanwhile, plains of J&K and Zanskar, Drass and other places likely to get light snowfall/rain,” statement read.

It added, “Thereafter as of now, another snow spell is likely during 12-13th December but may change slightly in coming days, predictability up-to 60%.”

Snow spell may lead to disruption of Traffic on Zojila, Mugal Road etc, officials stated. (KNB)
