We don’t want to move on path of Guns and Bullets: PM on Kashmir

Delhi 15 August (KNB): Repeating words of last year Prime Minister Narander Modi said on his 72th Independence day speech in Red fort that “Kashmirs problems can be resolved only by embracing its people, not with bullets or abuses.

Modi evoked Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision for Jammu and Kashmir — humanity, democracy, Kashmiriyat.

Kashmir or Ladakh or Jammu, they are equal with equal development. All expectations of the people there should be fulfilled, infrastructure should be strengthened and we should walk with everyone. We don’t want to move in the path of guns and abuse,” he said.

He said Jammu and Kashmir, now under Governor’s Rule, would hold the much-awaited Panchayat and local body elections.
