Srinagar 30 March (KNB): All vehicle owners in Kashmir division, who have purchased vehicles bearing outside registration numbers, asked to apply for fresh registration within 15 days.
Regional Transport Office, Kashmir, issued a circular on Saturday (27th of March) which said, “All vehicle owners who have purchased their vehicles bearing outside registration mark have to apply for a new registration mark as per provisions of section 47/50 of Motor Vehicle Act 1988 read with rule 54 of Central Motor Vehicle Rules 1989 within the prescribed period.”
Under signed by the RTO, Akramullah Tak (KAS), the order said that it is enjoined upon all such persons to submit the relevant documents of their vehicles to the office of RTO within a period of 15 days, failing which action as warranted shall be initiated against them. (KNB)
