Srinagar, Aug 01, KNB: Jammu and Kashmir people’s movement leader Umar Rather on Sunday evening was fired upon by Unknown gunmen at close range at his main gate in Padshahi Bagh area of Srinagar district.
While talking to news agency Kashmir News Bureau Umar has confirmed the incident and said, gunmen fired upon me at very close range but missed the fire and fortunately escaped unhurt.
According to reports, Umar has informed the police and accordingly forces have rushed to spot.
Meanwhile, Police is investigating the matter according to further reports.(KNB)
