Two Trapped Militants Surrender in Sopore

Families were called to motivate them to capitulate to forces  

Sopore 22 October (KNB): Two newly recruited militants, who were tapped in a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Tujjer village of Sopore tehsil, have surrendered before the forces. 

Earlier officials stated that the families of the two militants were called to persuade them to surrender.  

Officials said that a joint team of Army’s 22 RR, Sopore police and CRPF on specific information about the presence of militants, launched a CASO in Tujjer village of Baramulla. 

Officials stated that the two militants were identified as Abid Mushtaq War and Mehraj-ud-in, both residents of Sopore.

IGP Vijay Kumar has congratulated the families. 
“Newly recruited militants should come back into mainstream”, he added. (KNB)
