Sopore 4 May (KNB): Two militants were killed in the encounter which raged in north Kashmir’s Nathipora area of Sopore on Tuesday.
While providing updates about the encounter, Police officials said that Two militants were killed while the search is going on.
Earlier officials said that a Cordon and Search Operation was launched in the suspected area of Sopore by a joint team of Army, Police and CRPF.
Afterwards, the searching parties were fired upon by the hidden militants which was retaliated and triggering off the gunbattle.
Moreover, as the operation was going on, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar had said that one of the militants trapped is a foreigner, who was involved in the attack on Councillors and cop in Sopore who had later succumbed to their injuries. (KNB)
