Shopian 10 November (KNB): Two militants have been killed in an encounter between government forces and militants in Kutpora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Two unidentified militants have been killed so far and the search operation is underway, an official said.
Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army’s 34 RR and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of militants in the area.
As the forces engulfed the suspected spot, hiding militants open fire, which was retaliated, triggering an encounter, official said.
Kashmir News Bureau reports confirmed that internet services have been snapped in Shopian district for precautionary measures. (KNB)
