Srinagar , October 25 (KNB): Two militants killed in a gunfight that raged between security forces and militants this morning in Kreeri village of Baramulla district .
According to unconfirmed sources, the slain belong to Lashkar e Toiba outfit hailing from Baramulla.
Earlier , Gunfight erupted between militants and government forces at Kreeri village of Baramullah District.
According to reports reaching Kashmir News Bureau, Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and paramilitary CRPF launched a joint Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the village following specific inputs about presence of militants in the area.
During the on going search operation the hiding militants opened fire on the government forces, triggering off an encounter and killing of two millitants .
According to reports, fresh firing was started, However, internet services were blocked in Baramulla district earlier this morning and educational institutions were suspended. (KNB)
