Srinagar , October 25 (KNB): Two militants killed in a gunfight that raged between security forces and militants this morning in Kreeri village of Baramulla district .
According to unconfirmed sources, the slain belong to Lashkar e Toiba outfit hailing from Baramulla.
Earlier , Gunfight erupted between militants and government forces at Kreeri village of Baramullah District.
According to reports reaching Kashmir News Bureau, Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Keeri area of Baramulla district this morning following information about presence of militants in the area.
The official said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened fire on security forces.
“In retaliatory action, two militants have been killed so far,” the official said, adding that search operation was underway.
The identity and group affiliation of the slain ultras is being ascertained, he said.(KNB)
