Srinagar 18 March 2023 (KNB): The valedictory Function of the Two Day International Conference on “Recent Advances in Business, Management and Data Analytics” was organised at Gandhi Bhawan, University of Kashmir on day two of international conference.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB said that, Prof. Farooq Ahmad Masoodi, Dean Academic Affairs, University of Kashmir presided over the function.
The eminent scholar in the field of Management Prof. A. M. Shah, Former Dean Academic Affairs, University of Kashmir and Prof. Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo, Dean Research, University of Kashmir were present as Guests of Honour at the valedictory function.
Statement stated that the outset, Prof. Iqbal Ahmad Hakim, Head, Department of Management Studies, University of Kashmir while welcoming the guests provided an overview of the ongoing academic and research activities of the department and highlighted the twin objectives of holding such international events.
“One it provided a platform globally to the stakeholders to come together for shared dialogue and discourse and also the fact that this is the era of innovation marked by the latest advanced technologies in all the areas of Management, Business and Data Analytics.” Prof. Iqbal said
He further said, “this raises a dire need of awareness and adoption of technological advancement in every applicable field. Nevertheless to mention, all this could only be made possible when the concept of sustainability is served at large.We are living in an era of new technology trends including artificial intelligence and machine learning, industry 4.0, web 2.0 and 3.0 and digital trust, Internet of things, Blockchain and Robotic Process Automation. All these latest trends were insightfully discussed and deliberated during the two day international conference keeping the futuristic perspective of the world into consideration”. He added
Prof. Iqbal Ahmad Hakim congratulated all the dignitaries across the country and abroad who participated in the event for their contributions and resounding success.
Prof. Farooq Ahmad Masoodi, Chief Guest on the occasion congratulated the organisers for fostering an effective research environment where the seeds of innovation that will grow into new technologies will surely reshape the future but there has to be a consistent approach towards it so that such any challenges can be met for goal accomplishment. Business and society form an interactive system and both must connect at the grass root level for affluence.
Guest of Honor, Prof A.M.Shah emphasised the need for such conferences has become imperative for organisations to make their business processes efficient and effective business decision making to facilitate professionals who are in need of real time business intelligence and predictive analysis to make the right decisions. He also added the significant contribution of the current National Education Policy (NEP) on the education system and need for skills management for competency development.
In his speech, Prof. Irshad Ahmad Nawchoo accentuated the need for quality research for knowledge and insights, continuous improvements in the field of business and management in the era of intense competition. While speaking on the occasion he also emphasised the role of collaborations and linkages between academia and the industrial sectors for progressive development.
Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqui Professor,Department of Management Studies presented the rapporteur’s report highlighting the detailed sequence of the conference proceedings.He lauded all the participants for their significant research contributions based on the diverse fields under the conference theme.
“There were 15 technical sessions that were successfully conducted during the two day international conference with around 250 paper presentations presented by research scholars from around 20 different states of India and overseas.” Prof. Mushtaq said
