A time when the entire nation is in grief and mourning martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack, one should abstain from making any comment hurting the sentiment of people. Following the attack, Navjot Singh Sidhu had said that for a handful of people the entire nation (Pakistan) couldn’t be blamed. His comment didn’t go well with the netizens and soon #boycottsidhu and #boycottkapilsharmashow started trending on social media and Sony TV was forced to sack Sidhu.
As if it was not enough, the host of the show, Kapil Sharma has now made a comment inviting more trouble. During an event in Chandigarh, Kapil reportedly said that ‘banning or sacking’ Sidhu from his show is ‘not a solution. Within a few hours, #BoycottKapilSharma became the top trend on Twitter despite the fact that a section of social media spoke in support of Kapil.
