Inefficient public transportation in Ganderbal Village makes people suffer

Ganderbal, Feb 20(KNB):Commuters and passengers in Gutlibagh villages and adjoining areas  of Central Kashmir,s Ganderbal are complaining about the lack of public transport in the area. Residents of area, residing in different villages like Chanhar ,Banjar basti, wooder, Nadarbagh and adjoining areas held a demonstration against the District adminstration for lack of regulation of public transport in the area

The students of the area taking to KNB said that “they are facing tought time daily to attend their classes in ganderbal.”we have to wait for long hours every day to return home ,only three busses ply on the route ,

They added that passenger vehicles plying on Gutlibagh ,Urpash, Nuner and adjoining areas roads are most of the time seen overloaded.,,

“The overloading in the buses is more of a problem  for women who often face imvonvenience in public buses.”

Farhad Ahmad khan a local resident said that the school and college going students are forced to travel   hanging on the backside of these vehicle, posing a threat of accident to passengers in gutlibagh and adjoining areas

In past , the issue of overloading has been highlighted,but the drivers continue to accommodate passengers more their carrying capacity and take the traffic rules for a toss resident said.
They slammed the authorities for not playing an active role to avoid overloaded.
Despite the repeated calls to ARTO Ganderbal , he was unavailable to talk on issue.(KNB)
