Baramulla, September 16(KNB): Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation in the Hathlanga area of Uri of Baramulla, resulting in the Killing of three militants. Two of the militant bodies have been recovered, while the recovery of the third militant’s body is impeded by interference from Pakistani posts, Army officials said.
“Based on credible intelligence inputs, the security forces initiated the operation to dismantle the militant presence in the Uri Sector. The encounter with the terrorists ensued, leading to the killing of three of them. The bodies of two militants have been retrieved, official said.
However, the recovery operation for the third militant’s body is currently hindered as Pakistani posts are reportedly obstructing access to the area, they further said.(KNB)
