Poonch 07 May( KNB): At least three people were killed and a forest office was destroyed in Poonch due to heavy shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) on Wednesday. The deceased have been identified as Mohd Adil, Saleem Hussain, and Ruby Kour.
According to officials, the shelling occurred overnight, resulting in the fatalities and damage to property. The Indian Army has confirmed the incident, stating that Pakistan Army initiated arbitrary firing and artillery shelling from across the LoC.
In response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India has conducted strikes inside PoK, targeting nine terror sites. A Defence spokesman stated that the actions were focused, measured, and non-escalatory, with no Pakistani military facilities targeted.
The operation aims to hold accountable those responsible for the Pahalgam attack, which resulted in 26 deaths. A detailed briefing on ‘Operation Sindoor’ is expected later.(KNB)
