Srinagar, 26 April(KNB)- In a significant breakthrough, the Srinagar Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the theft of ABC Electrical Cable in the Shaltang area.
The accused, identified as Gowher Ahmed Bhat, Danish Ramzan, and Mohd Shafi Dar, were apprehended after a case (FIR No. 36/2025) was registered at Police Station Shaltang on April 23, 2025.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Shaltang police received a written application from Javid Ahmed Wani, resident of Thindima Kreeri, Baramulla, regarding the theft on April 23, 2025.
The accused were found to be residents of different areas in north Kashmir, including Saudnur, Gund Breng of Bandipora district and Nehalpora Pattan.
During the investigation, the police recovered the stolen cable, which was laid over a stretch of 1.5 kilometers, and seized the auto used in the commission of the crime.(KNB)
