Pulwama 6 March (KNB): Tehsildar Shahoora Litter, issued a notice to the people of the Tehsil to abstain from cultivating Khus Khus (Poppy), otherwise face strict action as per NDPS Act.
Through an official notice, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Bureau, Tehsildar Zahid Gani Wani informed the farmers of the Tehsil that who so ever has already sowed poppy seeds in their land are advised to get rid of the cultivation themselves.
If the same wasn’t followed and the authority finds out that there is still poppy (Khash Khash) or Cannabis (Bungh) cultivated in any farmers land, strict action will be taken against the person as per the NDPS Act, the notice said. (KNB)
