Systematic Attack on India’s Elected Institutions, Democracy is Dead in India Says Rahul Gandhi

Srinagar 27 February (KNB): While speaking at VOC college in South India’s Tamil Nadu, Rahul Gandhi said that there is a systematic attack on the elected institutions — Vidhan Sabha, Lok Sabha, Judiciary, Panchayats and Free Press in India from the last six years and alleged that the democracy in India is dead.

Ahead of Assembly elections, the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said the elected institutions that hold a nation together have been attacked for the past six years.

He accused RSS of destroying the balance of the elected institutions and said “Democracy does not die with a bang. It dies slowly.”

He further said that Modi is useful to two people. “Because those two people are using the Prime Minister of India to increase their wealth dramatically,” said Rahul Gandhi. He also said that the PM is useless to poor people.

Rahul Gandhi also expressed his doubt on the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) during the election process and said that “I am not entirely convinced that EVMs are 100% secure. I don’t believe that. I think there are problems with EVMs.” (KNB)
