Srinagar 20 November (KNB): A four-day capacity building program on Swach Bharat Mission/Survekshan 2021 has begun at central office SMC today.
A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) said that the first workshop was conducted for the Zonal Sanitation Officer, Ward officers and Tax inspectors of East Zone, who were provided training imparted by Chief Sanitation Officer Mudasir Hussain Banday, Solid Waste Management Officer Nazir Baba and Project Management Unit team.
It stated that the major highlights of the workshop were introduction, need, importance, methodology and detailed tool kit of Swachh Survekshan 2021.
During the workshop, trainers stressed upon the need and importance of implementing the solid waste management rules 2016, Plastic waste management rules 2016 and different other norms related to it.
Further, officials discussed about the Implementation of Srinagar Municipal corporation solid waste management laws 2019.
Later, the focus was also laid upon the learning module of The Swachhata application, which is a fourth generation complaint redressal mobile and web platform. (KNB)
