Sopore 29 March (KNB): Suspected militants attack on Councilors near Municipal office in North Kashmir’s Sopore on Monday afternoon in which one PSO and one Councilor has died.
As per report the attack was carried out by militants near the Municipal office in Sopore in which one councilor Riyaz Ahmad Peer and PSO Shafqat Nazir Khan have been killed.
However, another councilor identified as Shams-ud-din Peer has also injured in the attack and was later taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police in this regard tweeted that “Militants fired at Municipal Office Sopore. In this incident, police personnel Shafqat Ahmad & councillor Riyaz Ahmad were killed & councillor Shams-ud-din Peer got injured. Injured shifted to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off & further details shall follow.” (KNB)
