“Stop Ration to Lal Din Peer” Orders MO Govt. Leprosy Hospital

Srinagar 20 May (KNB): Medical Officer of Government Leprosy Hospital on last Saturday issued an order stating that ration should be stopped to ‘inmate’ Lal Din Peer for accusing the health department of not providing ration.

The order undersigned by the Medical Officer of the hospital, which is located at Behrar area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district, said “it is hereby directed to stop the ration of Lal din Peer with immediate effect till further notice.”

It further read, “The said inmate is asked to explain his position regarding the interview he gave to the press where he unnecessarily accused health department of not providing ration and necessary items,” adding, “as against reality.”

Regarding the order, Lal Din Peer told news agency Kashmir News Bureau that he had only mentioned about lack of ‘Sugar’ to the Media.

He said, “I told the media that we are given everything here, 200 grams of tea per patient but not any sugar.”

About the charity (food) done by them (media), Peer had responded positively, “We are very happy and it will be sufficient for atleast 5-8 days!,” he told KNB.

“That is all I told the media persons I spoke with,” peer said, adding that due to the order, he is still not getting any ration.(KNB)
