Srinagar 31 January (KNB): After receiving inputs about the movement of drug peddlers, Police on Monday said that they have apprehended a drug peddlers in possession of 6000 capsules of a “banned drug” at Abdullah Bridge, Rajbagh Srinagar.
Police spokesperson said that the arrested drug peddler was carrying a briefcase in which, after searching it, a banned drug namely Spasmo Proxyvon Plus Capsules (250 strips, 6000 capsules) was recovered.
It was said that on preliminary questioning, he disclosed his particulars as Umar Sadiq Dar, a Gopalpora Wathoora Budgam.
“In this regard case FIR No. 06/2022 u/s 8/21 of NDPS act has been registered in Police Station Rajbagh under relevant sections of law and investigation has been started,” said the spokesperson. (KNB)
