Srinagar 28 July (KNB): Traffic Police authorities on Wednesday said that there would be a traffic movement from Srinagar to Jammu and vice versa on the NHW-44 tomorrow subject to fair weather.
They further said that light motor vehicles passengers shall be allowed tomorrow from both sides of Jammu to Srinagar and from Srinagar to Jammu only after the better road condition and clement weather.
The officials further said that only one way traffic from Srinagar towards Kargil shall be allowed on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road from Sonamarg at 0700 hrs. upto 1500 hrs, which will be subjected to fair weather and good road conditions. “No Vehicle shall be allowed before & after cut off timing,” the official added.
It was further said that on 30-07-2021 Friday, there shall be no traffic movement on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road from either side in view of maintenance/repairing on Zoji la axis.
The officials further said that Security Forces are advised not to ply against the advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. “They may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of NHW,” added the official. (KNB)
