Srinagar 16 August (KNB): Traffic Police authorities on Monday said that there would be a traffic movement from Srinagar to Jammu and vice versa on the NHW-44 tomorrow subject to fair weather.
They further said that light motor vehicles passengers shall be allowed tomorrow from both sides of Jammu to Srinagar and from Srinagar to Jammu only after the better road condition and clement weather.
“Subject to fair weather and good road conditions, HMVs shall be allowed from Zig (Qazigund) towards Jammu after the tail of up HMVs crosses Shaitani Nallah,” said the officials.
They further said that LMVs shall be allowed from both sides and HMVs from Srinagar towards Kargil on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road. LMVs from Sonamarg followed by HMVs at 700 hrs. up to 1500 hrs and LMVs from Minamarg after the tail of HMVs crosses Zero point Zoji la. No Vehicle shall be allowed before & after cut off timing.
It was further said that on 18-08-2021 (Wednesday), there shall be no traffic movement on Jammu-Srinagar NHW from either side in view of maintenance/repairing of the NHW.
Regarding the Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumri road, the officials said that no traffic movement shall be allowed from either side in view of maintenance/repairing on Zoji la axis on 20-08-2021. (KNB)
