Sopore Police Conducts Mock Drill at Railway Station to Test Security Preparedness

Sopore, July 5 (KNB): Sopore Police on Sunday conducted a comprehensive mock drill at the Railway Station in Sopore to assess and strengthen security preparedness and emergency response mechanisms at the vital installation.

The exercise witnessed the participation of personnel from the Sopore Police, Railway Protection Force (RPF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Fire and Emergency Services.

During the drill, the participating agencies activated the prescribed response mechanism and carried out coordinated operations in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling potential security threats and emergency situations.

Officials said the exercise was aimed at evaluating response time, communication systems, inter-agency coordination and the operational readiness of personnel deployed at the railway station.

The mock drill was part of the ongoing security preparedness measures to enhance coordination among security and emergency response agencies and ensure a swift, coordinated and effective response to any emerging security situation at sensitive public installations, officials said.(KNB)
