Sopore, April 22(KNB): Sopore Police organized a drug awareness programme at Sher Colony, Sopore, where hundreds of people, including prominent religious scholars, participated and expressed strong support for the ongoing efforts against drug abuse and other social evils. The participants appreciated Sopore Police for taking strict action against elements involved in activities that are damaging society and affecting families.
During the programme, emphasis was laid on the collective responsibility of society in eradicating the menace of drugs. Religious scholars and community members highlighted the need for moral guidance and awareness to safeguard the younger generation. Sopore Police urged families and the general public to actively cooperate and remain vigilant, requesting them to report any individual involved in drug-related activities to the nearest police station or through official helplines.
The programme concluded with a unified call to work together in eliminating drug abuse from Jammu & Kashmir, reinforcing the commitment of Sopore Police and the community towards building a safe and healthy society.(KNB)
