Srinagar 15 December (KNB): Anti-Encroachment drive was conducted today by Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) in Lal Chowk – Gurudwara road, Amira Kadal, Koker Bazaar, Maharaja Bazaar and other adjacent areas.
A statement issued to the Kashmir News Bureau (KNB), the drive was carried under the supervision of Chief Anti Encroachment Officer Umar Din who was accompanied by the Anti-Encroachment squad.
Officials stated that the shopkeepers and vendors who had placed goods outside on the peripheries of streets were confiscated and the violators were fined on the spot.
Later, the vendors were warned by the Anti-Encroachment squad to not occupy the public space and were dispersed from the place, officials added. (KNB)
