Srinagar 06 July (KNB): Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Athar Amir Khan on Tuesday suspended two ward officers of Lawaypora and Magarmalbagh for dereliction of duties.
As per official, the commissioner SMC made it clear that illegal construction would not be allowed and connivance or negligence on part of SMC officials will be dealt with strongly.
“Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan has suspended the ward officer of Lawaypora for dereliction of duty. Besides ward officer Lawaypora, SMC Commissioner has also suspended ward officer Magarmalbagh for negligence and dereliction of duty,” the official said.
However, it was further said that SMC also conducted an extensive demolition drive on Tuesday against illegal and unauthorised construction in Lawaypora, Mujgund area during which illegal shops and other structures were demolished. (KNB)
