Srinagar, Feb 05(KNB): Basic educational facilities have a profound impact on learning generation, that includes health, behavior, learning, and growth in achievement, without adequate facilities and resources, it is extremely difficult for students to serve with large numbers of complex needs.
Students can be productive if they are provided an environment conducive to learning but unfortunately various educational institutions in our valley lack essential basic facilities like infrastructure, staff, quality education, institution heads while most of the schools and colleges are yet to be completed ,many of which are even without buildings due to which the students suffer a lot.
Government Degree College for women in Kupwara which was established under the central sponsored scheme–Establishment of Model Degree Colleges in Educationally Backward Districts in the year 2013 and till date not a single building is completed yet and the college is functioning in four rooms of middle school at Sulkoot which includes staff room and principals chamber
A primary school in Bakoora Ganderbal lacks infrastructure that needs a lot of work, poor building conditions, broken furniture, untidy classrooms dilapidated roads make students feel negatively about their school’s norms and expectations.
When school lack a strong foundation and direction ,learning is compromised that inevitably impacts the quality of education, One such School in Laridora Narwara is functioning without the principal where the students are suffering a lot ,not only students staff members are facing lot of hardships.
There are number of such examples of schools that lack the basic facilities, instead of just inaugurating new academic institutions the government needs to pay heeds to the existing ones first..( KNB)
