Kupwara 19 March(KNB): Shab-e-Baraat, Night of Fortune and Forgiveness, was observed with religious zeal and fervour in Machhal as the night-long prayers were offered of seeking forgiveness and expressing gratitude to Allah.
At Machhal, Shab-e-Barat witnessed huge assembly of devotees at the local mosque in the evening. Indian Army along with villagers offered prayers at the mosque. Also, namaz was offered by the devotees at the Machhal Peer Baba shrine. It was indeed a day of forgiveness and mercy. At the end, sweets were distributed to the locals.(KNB)
