Sgr Records Coldest Night of This Winter Season As Mercury Plunges to -2.5 Degrees C

Srinagar 1 December (KNB): Srinagar recorded the coldest night of this winter season as temperature dipped to -2.5 degrees Celsius on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday in summer capital of J&K, as per Meteorological department. 

On the previous night, Srinagar witnessed -1.5 degrees Celsius temperature, which dipped further after summer capital recorded this season’s coldest night as mercury plunged to -2.5 degrees Celsius on the last night. 

Showing no respite, temperatures in world famous tourist resorts Pahalgam and Gulmarg were recorded at minus 5.2 degrees celsius and minus 1.6 degrees celsius respectively.

As per official data, temperatures in other parts of the valley were recorded as minus 3.3 degrees celsius in Qazigund, minus 1.8 degrees celsius in Kokernag and minus 4.4 degrees celsius in Konibal. 

Meanwhile, temperatures recorded in Kupwara was minus 3.5 degrees celsius and minus 8.6 degrees Celsius in Leh. (KNB)
