Srinagar 23 February (KNB): Divisional Commissioner Kashmir P K Pole on Wednesday ordered for an enquiry into yesterday’s self-immolation by a youth in district Ganderbal during a demolition drive.
Div Com Kashmir while terming the incident as “unfortunate” said that Additional District Development Commissioner, Ganderbal Khurshid Ahmad Shah is appointed as Enquiry Officer to enquire into the whole gamut of an episode.
He further said in the order that findings of the enquiry along with his definite comments/recommendations should be furnished within 10 days positively.
Pole also ordered for Tehsildar, Ganderbal to be transferred with immediate effect and said that his services are kept at the disposal of District Commissioner Bandipora. (KNB)
