Rajouri 31 July (KNB): Government Security Forces on Saturday recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway, which was later defused successfully by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
Officials said that intel related to suspicious movement around the Dalogra area on the Rajouri Highway was received by J&K Police and immediately afterwards, vehicular movement was suspended on the roadlink for several hours.
An operation was launched and as per officials, amid the operation an IED was recovered by the security forces.
Officials said that BDS was called in and the IED has been successfully defused, while the whole area was cordoned off in order to conduct searches. (KNB)
