Srinagar 06 November (KNB): Security forces started a cordon and search operation in Thanamandi area of Jammu’s Rajouri district on Saturday morning.
As per reports, the search operation was launched by security forces after inputs about the presence of militants in the area and, in a precautionary measure, has led authorities to restrict the movement of traffic from Thanamandi to Rajouri.
However, till last reports there was no contact established between the militants and forces after the starting of search operation in the area.
It is pertinent to mention that there has already been an operation going on in the Bhata Dhurian forest area of Poonch for a few weeks now in which the Indian Army lost its several soldiers, including two JCOs. (KNB)
