SC’s hearing on pleas challenging Article 370: Several Leaders of Kashmir Likely to attend

Srinagar, July 10: Senior National conference leader and Member of Parliament Retd. Justice Hasnain Masoodi along Senior Vice President of Awami National Conference and petitioner Muzaffar Shah likely to attend the Supreme Court hearing on Article 370 tomorrow.

Nearly four years after the abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court will hear petitions challenging the Union government’s decision to revoke the special status of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on Tuesday, July 11.

As already reported, five-judge constitution bench including CHANDRA CHURD AND JUSTICE SANJAY KISHAN KOLE, SANJIV KHANNA, BR. Gavai and Surya Kant will hear the matter on Tuesday to issue procedural directions on documents and written submissions, order for oral arguments and grant of time.

Sources say that Senior Vice President of Awami National Conference and petitioner Muzaffar Shah and Member of Parliament of National Conference Justice, Hasnain Masoodi are likely to attend the hearing in-person.(KNB)
