Schools, Coaching & Tuition Centres in J&K To Remain Closed till End of April: Govt Order

Srinagar 15 April (KNB): Government on Thursday ordered the extension of closure of all  Schools, coaching & tuition centres in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir till 30th of April.

An order in this regard said that a detailed review of the current Covid situation in Jammu and Kashmir was conducted with the Finance Commissioner, Health; Administrative Secretary School Education, Divisional Commissioner J&K and other officers.

The detailed review included an overall assessment of situation pertaining to spread of Covid-19 and the trend in new cases particularly the recent spike in the number of daily reported cases of infection in some districts of J&K.

On the basis of this assessment, the State Executive Committee has ordered that all schools in UT of J&K will continue to remain closed for imparting on-campus/ in-person education to the students of all classes (i.e up to and including class 12th) till 30th of April.

As per the order, all coaching and tuition centres imparting in-person teaching to students will also remain closed in J&K till the end of the month. (KNB)
