The spokesperson said, “All of us including the media personnel are aware that silence has been portrayed as normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir before. And even now, the current regime wants Jammu, Ladakh, Kashmir to remain silent like a graveyard and people from villages as well as the city should not speak up or walk with their heads high.”
Regarding PAGD, He said, “through media we want to appeal the people of India, Civil societies and Political parties and also parliament of India that we want our right to live with dignity, with respect and standing tall with heads high just like everyone else in the country.”
“The current regime has decided to disrespect and dishonour us and think of it as a proud thing, which is not at all acceptable to us,” he emphasized and added that attempts are constantly being made to obliterate political parties and its worker as in there are none but thieves here.
This humiliation of people must end as it’s consequences could turn out to be dangerous for the whole nation, PAGD spokesperson said.
M Y Tarigami told the reporters that even though there are different political parties affiliated with PAGD but the main aim is and remains to full-fill the very promise, which unites us all on this platform, to fight for justice and demand for the rights-promised under the Indian constitution.
The Spokesperson revealed that PAGD has passed a new resolution which aims for the restoration of Articles 370 and 35A as well as the complete restoration of statehood.

Sharing another point mentioned in the resolution, which is about State and Centre Cadre, M Y Tarigami said that If anyone checks at the whole structure of higher officials be it in Jammu and Kashmir Police department and others, they will come to know that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have become victims of discrimination.
Representing PAGD in Srinagar, the Spokesperson said that the government has been using dirty tactics against political worker/leaders of Jammu and Kashmir. “We mentioned it to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi during the All party meet (on 24th of June) to take confidence building measures and release all the political workers, old, children, youth from the jails and PM Modi had assured that he will review the matter.”
“but tell us, so far how many people have been released?” he asked and added that he was shocked to hear some top official claiming that no political workers are behind bars. (KNB)
