Residents of Saida Kadal, Bemina allege district administration Srinagar for mismanagement

Srinagar 02 March (KNB): The residents of Saida Kadal and Bemina area alleged administration of Srinagar district for mismanagement making the common masses to suffer , roads repaired and macadamized by the roads and building department six months ago spending the crores of money, were dugout by the under ground drainage (UGD) is making the life of the common masses difficult.




Locals claimed that Saida kadal –Hazratbal and Bemina road near the grid station were dug and left in shambles without any quality standard resulting in the frequent traffic jams.

According to residents the district management are wasting the public money as there is no proper planning regarding the developmental works taking place in the district Srinagar , and the various departments have no mutual coordination or cooperation , as one department is collecting the money for construction and other department for dismantling the same work resulting in the wastage of public revenue.

Mohd Maqbool Akhoon a resident of the Saida kadal Srinagar talking to Kashmir News Bureau said that “ the Hazratbal – Nigeen road was dug last year for construction of the underground drainage and the project was completed last year but the damaged road is yet to be repaired , which result in the massive traffic jams.

He further added the road is one of the busiest road as it leads to the university of the kashmir and Hazratbal shrine and has huge traffic congestion and is creating inconvenience to masses.




Firdous Ahmad Shah a resident of bemina said, “there is not any proper planning any any deportment weather it is Srinagar development authority, SMC or any other deportment every time we witnessed that different departments digging the road after road get macadamized, resulting in the water lodging, which turns the road into cesspools and slippery, and unsuitable for motor cables.

Talking to Kashmir News Bureau Chief Engineer R&B Sami Arif said ‘’ the restoration and repairing work of the pathholes will be done immediately.

He further added that R&B department is working in coordination with other department. (KNB)
