Residents of Pahroo Village appeals JK Bank chairman to provide ATM Facility

Pahroo, April 22(KNB): Residents of Model Village, Pahroo urged the Jammu and Kashmir Bank authorities to provide ATM facility in their village as they have have to travel 5-7 kilometers to withdraw money.

A local Muzaffar Ahmad said,” We urge the J&K Bank Chairman to look into the genuine demand of people of Pahroo and allot an ATM at the earliest. After more than 2 years of functioning of J&K Bank,Pahroo, the people are still waiting for the ATM facility. We don’t have a single ATM from Nowgam(North), Pampore(East) to Khanda(South-West) while as thousands of people live in this huge area which includes villages like Pahroo,Wagura,Suthso­o,Gangipora,Tengun,S­aidpora,Chekpora,Zan­gibagh,Kenihama.”

He said that the inhabitants have to travel to Khanda area or to Nowgam or Pampore around 5-7 kms distant away from Main Chowk Pahroo to withdraw money.

“The area should get at least one ATM at the earliest. Providing an ATM facility in Pahroo would be a major benefit for the thousands of people, we ask the Branch Manager of J&K Bank Pahroo to avail us the ATM facility as soon as possible,” Bilal Ahmad, a student said.(KNB)
