Baramulla, Feb 08(KNB): A double Storey residential house was damaged due to heavy snowfall during night after its rooftop collapsed with heavy snowfall in Reshimuqam Larridora village in Sheeri Narwav area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau ,a local Shafeeq Hussain said that the residential house of his elder brother Syed Shabir Hussain got damaged during night after its rooftop collapsed with heavy snowfall.
“The rooftop collapsed after Magrib with a big cracking sound.The house has suffered huge damage of almost One Lakh.”
“Thanks to Almighty Allah there was no loss of life or injuries to anyone present in the house,” he further said.
Earlier heavy snowfall in the valley has adversely affected the life across state with road links snapped, flight operation disrupted.
Meanwhile, the strategic 300 km-long Srinagar-Jammu highway road remained closed for the third consecutive day on Friday due to heavy snowfall and landslides.(KNB)
