Budgam 22 January (KNB): A religious seminar was severely damaged in an overnight fire incident at Hyderpora in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
An official said that massive fire broke out in Darul Uloom Syed Hafsa Islamia, Galwanpora at Hyderpora during the intervening night of Thursday-Friday.
“The students of the institution were evacuated safely and the fire was doused afterwards,” officials added.
Officials further said that the fire partly damaged the antique portion along with roofing/ceiling, laptops, bedding, fans and house hold woods and the cost of the damage is being stated at around 10 Lakhs.
“The fire was caused due to short circuit in the three story building,” officials added. (KNB)
