Immense role of Private schools in education sector: Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi
Poonch, July 05 (KNB): The Private Schools’ Association Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) felicitated 30 toppers of class 12th examination in a colourful ceremony held at Govt Degree College Auditorium Poonch.
The function was graced by Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi, former Vice Chancellor IUST, G N Var, President PSAJK, Prof Assia Siddiqi, former Director J&K Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Khursheed Bismal President PSAJK Pir Panjal and renowned educationist, and other dignitaries.
Prof Mushtaq Siddiqi appreciated the role of private schools and PSAJK for their immense contribution in the field of education. He said that government should also recognise the contribution of private schools and handhold them for further development.
He said that private schools have become an integral part of education and their role cannot be ignored. He said that on the basis of data and statistics, the government should recognize who are the real movers of education and give them their due credit.
On the part of PSAJK, he said that somewhere there is a lack of Advocacy and the association should put forward their point of view among all the stakeholders so that everywhere gets to know about their contribution.
He said that private schools are the biggest contributors to the education sector in J&K. Primary and secondary schooling forms the fundamental core of every nation and private schools are doing great work of strengthening it and giving it a good shape, he said.
G N Var said that it is the first of the series of functions to felicitate the toppers and more such functions would be held. He said that the main motive of such functions is to encourage students and boost their morale to achieve new heights in academics.
Waheed Ahmed Banday, District President PSAJK Poonch, was the chief organiser of the function. Veteran Educationist M N Qureshi presented vote of thanks and Pardeep Khanna conducted the proceedings of the glittering ceremony.
Different zonal presidents of PSAJK also spoke on the occasion. They congratulated the toppers and encouraged others to keep up with the hard work.
The function was a grand success and it was a proud moment for all the toppers and their families. It was also a great opportunity to recognise the contribution of private schools in the field of education.
