Pulwama 28 February (KNB):Police recovered huge quantity of Cannabis powder in Batpora’ naina area in south Kahsmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials said that Pulwama Police received an information about a person namely Younis Ahmad Wani son of Gh Hussan Wani resident of batpora naina in possession of huge quantity of cannabis powder.
As per the input, the cannabis powder (bang patri) was in his (Ahmad’s) cow shed.
Officials said that on receipt of this information, a team of police Pulwama headed by SDPO Litter, Furqan Qadir and SHO Litter, Hafeez Choudhary raided the said cow shed/ house and recovered Six bags of cannabis.
In this case FIR NO 05/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Litter and investigation has been taken up, officials said.
Furthermore, general public of the area appreciated the role of police for working on eradication of drug menace from the society and appealed for continuing action against the peddlers. (KNB)
