Ganderbal 27 December (KNB): Five liquor peddlers with around 20 bottles of illicit liquor were arrested by police at a checkpoint near CRPF 118BN head quarters NHW Gund in Ganderbal.
As per the statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau, the five persons- who were intercepted at the checkpoint by the police and recovered 20 bottles of liquor from their possession- were identified as Mohammad Safdar Sheikh R/o Nowshera, Ashok Kumar Patra R/o Odisha, Ranjeet Kumar R/o Udhampur, Waseem Ahmad R/o Ramsu Ramban and Rahul Gupta R/o MP Bumra.
Officials stated that FIR No. 78/2020 was registered under relevant law sections in police station Gund and further investigation is in process. (KNB)
