Police Arrests Rape Accused in North Kashmir 

Srinagar 29 July (KNB): Baramulla police on Thursday said that they have arrested  a rape accused on Wednesday who was involved in the raping of a teenage girl from Uri.

Police in its statement said that yesterday in evening hours Police Station Uri received written complaint from a complainant, a resident of Madiyan Kamalkote area of Uri stating therein that his minor daughter (name withheld) aged about 13 years was raped by one Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan @ Muna Khan, a resident of Paranpeelan Uri in forest area after giving life threat to her. 

Following the receipt of the written complaint case FIR was registered in Police Station Uri under relevant sections of law, the police said. 

Later, Police Station Uri utilizing all technical and human sources and with strenuous efforts traced the accused and arrested him in the instant case. (KNB)
