Police arrests Drug Peddler in Mirgund Pattan; Recovers 130 Grams of Charas

Baramulla 05 Jan(KNB): Police on Thursday arrested a Drug Peddler along with 130 grams of Charas like substance in Mirgund Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau that On routine patrolling near Mirgund Pattan near chinar point, Police under the supervision of Inspr. Sarjan Ahmad, SHO PS Baramulla assisted by SI Ather Parvaiz, IC PP Mirgund witnessed a suspicious person coming from Narbal towards Mirgund, upon noticing the police party tried to flee towards nearby orchards but was apprehended tactfully.

During his personal search 130 grams Charas like substance was recovered and arrested drug peddler who was identified as Mohammad Rafiq Mir S/O Mohd Amin Mir R/O Panzinara Parimpora, District Srinagar, police said in a statement.

Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation set in motion.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship, statement added.(KNB)
