Anantnag 14 April (KNB): Police on Wednesday said that they have arrested a bootlegger in South Kashmir’s Anantnag and recovered bottles of illicit liquor from his possession.
Officials said that a police party from Police Station Anantnag along with DO Bus Stand established a naka near Post Office Anantnag and arrested a bootlegger along with 5 bottles of Illicit liquor.
They further said that during investigation his rental house was raided at Chee and more 40 bottles of Liquor was recovered in presence of Magistrate.
“The accused has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Shah S/O Ghalum Qadir Shah Resident of Lok Bawan Larkipora,” said police.
In this connection case FIR No. 90/2021 under relevant sections of the law has been registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been taken up. (KNB)
