Srinagar 04 November (KNB): The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted the people on the occasion of the festival of lights and said that he wishes everyone a very happy Diwali.
The PM said in his tweet that “Greetings to the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. I wish that this festival of lights brings happiness, prosperity and good fortune in your life. Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali.”
LG, J&K, Manoj Sinha also extended his greeting on the occasion of Diwali and said. “Heartiest greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the occasion of Diwali. Deepawali, the festival of lights is a harbinger of joy, happiness and prosperity.”
He said the occasion is a celebration of triumph of light over darkness and of hope over despair. “The festival celebrates the victory of good over evil and reflects the true spirit of our composite culture,” LG said.
LG further hopes for this joyous occasion to bring joy, happiness, peace and prosperity to the people. (KNB)
