PM Modi Cuts Cooking Gas Price by Rs 100, Extends Subsidy for Poor Women

New Delhi 08 March(KNB): On International Women’s Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a relief measure for millions of families in India by slashing the cooking gas cylinder price by Rs 100. He said that this would benefit the “Nari Shakti” (women power) and support their well-being and health. He posted this on X, a social media platform.

He also said that his government was dedicated to empowering women and ensuring ‘Ease of Living’ for them. As part of this, the government decided to continue the Rs 300 per LPG cylinder subsidy for the poor women under the Ujjwala Yojana for the next financial year.

In another post on X, Modi wished everyone on the International Women’s Day and praised the strength, courage, and resilience of the women. He also highlighted their achievements in various fields and said that his government was committed to empowering them through initiatives in education, entrepreneurship, agriculture, technology and more. He also mentioned the government’s accomplishments in the last decade in this regard.
