Bandipora 25 December (KNB): PM KISAN functions were organized across different areas of Bandipora to witness Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s live address to the farmers of the country.
According to the reports lots of farmers attended the functions at 12 Zones covering all 12 CD blocks in bandipora and around Rs 10 crores of instalments were credited by PM into account of 51112 different category farmers of the district.
Prior to the Prime Minister’s address, an interaction session was also organised with farmers through experts of Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry , KVIB, KVK And Sericulture Departments.
During the function DC Bandipora Dr Owais indicates holding more Kisan workshops in near future for sustainable integrated farming.
However, apple producing farmers raised demands of installation of e-linked mandi in the district besides establishment of dry fruit mandi in the district. While regarding the matter, the Chief Horticulture Officer assured the audience of taking matters with the Government through the HPM Department.
The function was attended by the BDC chairpersons, ADC Bandipora, JDP Bandipora, Chief Agriculture officer, Chief Horticulture officer, District Officers of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments and some other officers. (KNB)
